Lead Strategy, Engagement, and Growth across Key Communities

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is seeking a collaborative and results-driven Associate Vice President (AVP), Affinities to oversee strategy, engagement, and fundraising across our key donor affinity groups including Women’s Philanthropy, Business & Professional, and Emerging/Younger Donors.

This senior-level position is responsible for supervising a high-performing team, strengthening donor pipelines, and advancing the Federation’s overall Campaign goals through targeted relationship-building and community engagement. This role plays a critical leadership function within the development change to the Campaign department and requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of affinity-based fundraising, and a passion for Jewish communal life.

Role and Impact

The AVP, Affinities oversees a cross-functional portfolio designed to engage key segments of the South Palm Beach County community. Through supervision of the directors of assigned affinity areas and management of a personal portfolio of donors and prospects, the position ensures a comprehensive and coordinated approach to engagement, cultivation, and solicitation. As a member of the campaign management team, this role contributes to the vision and direction of Federation’s philanthropic strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision & Strategic Oversight

• Supervise and guide directors of Women’s Philanthropy, Business & Professional, and Emerging/Younger Donor engagement and new affinity areas
• Align team activities with Federation wide strategic objectives and fundraising benchmarks
• Ensure effective time and resource allocation to optimize philanthropic outcomes and donor engagement

Portfolio Management & Solicitation

• Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
• Identify opportunities to upgrade giving and deepen commitment through personalized engagement
• Leverage events, parlor meetings, and Federation initiatives to connect donors with impact

Campaign Management & Cross-Department Collaboration

• Serve as a key member of the Campaign management team, contributing to department-wide strategy
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated fundraising approach
• Represent affinity interests in Federation wide planning and decision-making

Thrive Here If You Have:

• A Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience in nonprofit development, team management, or community engagement
• Proven success in major gift cultivation and solicitation
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to coach and guide team members toward shared goals
• Familiarity with Jewish values, customs, and traditions
• Exceptional communication, planning, and interpersonal skills in a mission-driven setting
