Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Chemical Production Specialist to join a leading specialty manufacturer in the Brookfield/Danbury area. This role is responsible for conducting processing operations related to the production of organic chemicals using synthetic chemical methods and associated support systems. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in organic and analytical chemistry, with the ability to operate complex chemical production equipment and maintain high product quality standards.

This is a direct hire/permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and adjust chemical production equipment, ensuring proper operation of heating, cooling, vacuum, and pressure systems.
  • Transport, weigh, mix, and pump chemical materials accurately and safely.
  • Monitor processing steps to ensure product quality, lot consistency, and optimal yields.
  • Control process parameters by adjusting feed rates, temperature, and pressure as required.
  • Utilize analytical equipment to assess in-process and final product status, with a solid understanding of operational principles and the ability to interpret results under supervision.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Production Technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs for production, safety, inventory, training, and other relevant activities in both written and digital formats.
  • Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and safe usage of technology, equipment, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Familiarity with piping and valve operations for reaction control.
  • Ability to switch between metric and U.S. weight and measure standards, including the determination of molar quantities.
  • Proficiency in operating chemical production equipment.
  • Competence in conducting physical and chemical analyses and interpreting results.

This is a 24 hour production facility, and there are multiple shifts available.
