Role Summary
Seeking a results-driven Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and system administration, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and support critical infrastructure events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust AWS-based cloud solutions.
- Manage the configuration, deployment, and lifecycle of production systems.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard DevOps tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable infrastructure and services.
- Monitor cloud environments, respond to incidents, and ensure system reliability.
- Align security configurations with best practices and compliance requirements.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and support infrastructure changes during off-hours as needed.
- Analyze system performance and provide input for capacity planning.
- Recommend architectural and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Stay informed on cloud technology trends and continuously pursue relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience and certifications).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ELB.
- 3+ years of system administration experience in Linux/Unix and Windows environments .
- Experience working with virtualization platforms like VMware , Citrix Xen , or OpenStack .
- Solid experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, or Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of cloud deployment and build practices.
Certifications
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (required).
- ITIL v4 or Six Sigma certification (preferred).
