NMC Cat is looking for a results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. You’ll be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the assigned territory of Saunders, Cass, Butler, Polk and part of Lancaster county effectively selling Caterpillar equipment and services with a focus on compact equipment (Mini Ex, Skid Steers, Compact Track Loaders, Attachments, etc.). The successful applicant will be provided a company vehicle and must live within the sales territory.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*:

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with prospective and current customers in the assigned territory/market segment with heavy focus on generating new business for the organization’s products/services.
  • Promotes company’s products and related services by establishing, nurturing and maintaining relationships with current customers and prospective customers in an assigned territory
  • Makes telephone calls, other forms of digital touch-points, and in-person visits and presentations to prospective and current customers.
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations with consistent and aggressive pricing for prospective and current customers.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and pre-qualifies value of prospective and existing to the organization.
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
