Hourly Rate on W2: $29.67 /hr. - $36.55 /hr.
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule – 9 am to 5 pm (Monday to Friday) Hybrid – 3 days on site (Required) – 2 days remote
Contract: 1 YEAR
The position would be working for HKA at the WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ facility
1 PTO day per month on the 1st of each month

Outline:
This person is a financial and compliance checker for U.S. customs operations. They make sure the company is paying the right duties, properly claiming trade benefits, and keeping meticulous records for audits and CBP inquiries. It’s a mix of data analysis, bookkeeping, compliance, and document management.
Role Overview
The person ensures that the company’s customs records and payments are accurate, reconciled, and compliant with U.S. customs regulations. They focus on analyzing trade data, validating documentation, and supporting customs-related financial and administrative processes.
Customs Reconciliation
Compare the company’s internal customs data with supplier invoices and broker-prepared documents.
Reconcile customs values and Free Trade Agreement claims to make sure everything matches and is correct.
Data Analysis
Use Microsoft Excel and potentially SAP to analyze data in detail.
Spot discrepancies in invoices, bills, and customs filings.
Documentation Management
Organize customs-related documents from CBP (e.g., CF28s, CF29s, Liquidated Damages notices).
Maintain accurate logs of customs bills, refunds, and other related documentation.
Support Teams
Assist solicitation or procurement teams by preparing reports, metrics, and analysis of customs data discrepancies.
Help administrative processes, like combining documents, printing, mailing, or responding to CBP inquiries.
Compliance & Accuracy
Ensure that all U.S. customs reporting and financial data are correct.
Help the company avoid errors that could result in penalties, overpayments, or compliance issues.

Basic job duties may include but are not limited to:
Analyze and prepare US customs value reconciliation for US Entities.
Analyze and prepare US customs Free Trade Agreement reconciliation for US Entities.
Validate internal customs data against supplier documentation and documentation prepared by brokers.
Provide support to solicitation team as needed (prepare reports / metrics, analyze discrepancies etc.).
Analyze invoices and customs documentation from suppliers to evaluate accuracy of supplier bills.
Organize CBP bills and refunds, record them in company logs.
Organize documents received from CBP (such as CF28s, CF29s and Liquidated Damages) and record them in company logs.
Support administrative efforts in responding to CBP requests (i.e. combining documentation, printing and mailing of responses prepared by various teams).
EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor in a related field preferred. 2+ years’ experience working in customs, international trade, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct detailed data analysis.
Experience in Microsoft Excel. Experience working in SAP is a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
