Job Description

About the Director of Clinical Operations Role

Medplace is one of the top tech startups in Phoenix, AZ. We’re transforming how hospitals and health centers manage peer reviews—making the process faster, simpler, and more compliant. We are seeking a Director of Clinical Operations with a clinical background and deep experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to oversee and grow our peer review operations.

Are you a registered nurse with firsthand FQHC experience and a passion for improving clinical quality? Do you have a track record of managing operational workflows or conducting HRSA Operational Site Visits? If so, you could be a perfect fit.

This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You’ll manage clinical workflows, credentialing, expert matching, and quality assurance, while building the infrastructure to support long-term scale. You’ll also collaborate closely with customer success, product, and leadership teams to ensure efficient and compliant peer review delivery.

While preference is given to candidates located in the Phoenix metro area, we are open to out-of-state applicants with the right background and experience. This role will start in person or hybrid depending on location and may evolve based on performance and company needs.

We love our jobs and want you to love yours too. No bureaucracy. No wasted effort. Every day matters—and so does your impact.

About Medplace

Medplace was founded on the belief that better technology and smarter workflows can improve the lives of patients and providers alike. We’ve built a national network of credentialed physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals—and paired it with modern, automated workflow tools—to simplify how clinical reviews are conducted.

Our clients include hospitals, FQHCs, critical access hospitals, insurers, and law firms who use Medplace for external and internal peer reviews. We’re proud of our incredibly high satisfaction ratings across both sides of our marketplace.
