We are seeking an experienced Director of Food and Beverage to join our client’s dynamic team in Fredericksburg, VA. As the Director, you will oversee all food and beverage operations, including wine and beverage inventory management, and ensure the highest standards of service for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring consistency in service and product quality.
• Lead a team of talented staff, fostering an environment of teamwork, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
• Utilize strong wine knowledge to curate a diverse and appealing wine list and beverage program.
• Oversee beverage and wine inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Analyze and manage food and beverage costs, including P&L responsibility, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
• Monitor and manage beverage costs, wine inventory, and other beverage-related expenses.
• Develop and implement cost control measures, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality offerings.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, guest preferences, and emerging beverage innovations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in full-service Food and Beverage management within a hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of wines, wine pairings, and beverage trends.
• Proven experience managing a P&L, wine inventory costs, and beverage inventory costs.
• Demonstrated experience in managing beverage costs and cost control strategies.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, creating a positive and productive environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.
• Knowledge of current food and beverage trends, including innovative concepts in cocktails and wine offerings.
• Flexible with schedule – ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
