We are seeking a Web Editor to drive the quality and authority of our online content. In this role, you will ensure that every piece of content we produce is engaging, accurate, and aligns with the highest standards of E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). You will play a pivotal part in strengthening our brand’s voice and credibility, helping us deliver content that our audience and industry trust.

As the Web Editor, you’ll collaborate with writers, marketers, and subject matter experts to create content that stands out. Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Editing: Research, write, and edit web content (articles, blog posts, landing pages, etc.) to ensure clarity, coherence, and engagement. Refine copy to maintain a consistent tone and style that resonates with our audience.
• E-E-A-T Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest content quality standards by ensuring all publications meet E-E-A-T guidelines. Verify facts, cite reputable sources, and incorporate firsthand experience or expert insights where applicable to boost content credibility.
• SEO Optimization: Work closely with the SEO team to optimize content for search engines without compromising quality. Implement industry best practices for on-page SEO (keywords, meta tags, internal linking) while maintaining people-first, authoritative content.
• Editorial Oversight: Manage the content calendar and workflow from draft to publication. Coordinate with contributors and review their work for grammar, style, and adherence to our content guidelines. Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve their work and understanding of E-E-A-T principles.
• Content Strategy & Improvement: Collaborate on content strategy by identifying topics that align with audience needs and industry trends. Analyze content performance (traffic, engagement metrics) and adjust editorial strategies to improve reach and impact.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure content is aligned with broader campaigns and product information. Oversee integration of multimedia elements (images, infographics, videos) to enhance content presentation and user experience.
• Compliance & Consistency: Ensure all content complies with relevant industry regulations and company standards (this is especially important for financial-related content). Maintain consistency in voice and formatting across all web platforms.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English or a related field. 3+ years of experience in web content editing or a similar role.
• Editing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to turn draft content into polished, publication-ready material.
• SEO & Content Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content marketing strategies. Familiarity with Google’s quality guidelines, including E-E-A-T principles, and how to apply them in content creation.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar) and basic HTML formatting. Comfortable using analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) to monitor content performance and inform improvements.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to give clear editorial guidance and work collaboratively with both remote and in-house team members.
• Time Management: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.

Preferred:

• Industry Knowledge: Background in finance, fintech, or digital marketing content is a plus. (Our content often touches on financial technology and online marketing topics.)
• E-E-A-T Expertise: Demonstrated experience implementing E-E-A-T or similar content-quality frameworks in previous roles. Experience working on “Your Money or Your Life” (YMYL) topics or other subject matter that requires strict accuracy and authority is advantageous.
• Multimedia & Design Sense: Familiarity with integrating multimedia content into articles and understanding of basic design/UX principles to ensure content is not only well-written but also well-presented.
• Leadership: Prior experience mentoring writers or leading an editorial team. Willingness to take initiative in refining editorial processes and content guidelines as needed.

Work Arrangement

We support flexible work arrangements . This position can be based in our Glendale, CA headquarters, but we welcome remote candidates and those who prefer a hybrid setup. Our team operates across different locations, so strong self-management and virtual collaboration skills are important.
