Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ

With nearly 1,300 employees and expanding, this team is focused on delivering excellence in patient experience and employee success.

We’re seeking an experienced Intake Director to lead a dynamic team, streamline patient onboarding, and ensure every family’s first interaction is handled with care, efficiency, and professionalism.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of Intake Representatives , providing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
  • Oversee all incoming inquiries (phone, email, and online forms), ensuring quick and compassionate responses.
  • Assess prospective patient needs and determine eligibility and fit for available programs.
  • Manage the intake pipeline — track leads, prioritize follow-ups, and oversee the entire process from inquiry to assessment.
  • Train team members on effective communication and conversion techniques , maintaining a balance of empathy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to align messaging and attract qualified patient leads.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within CRM systems and ensure detailed recordkeeping of all interactions.
  • Prepare performance reports and analytics for senior leadership, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Partner with clinical and case management teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Continuously improve intake workflows to enhance the patient and family experience .

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing a high-performing team, ideally in healthcare or behavioral health.
  • Strong background in intake, patient engagement, or healthcare administration .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
