Job Description

Lamart Corporation is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Clifton, NJ team. The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise and an innate passion to build. This role will play a critical part in creating and refining processes in order to improve manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity. 

Responsibilities include:

• Drive continuous improvement activities on the production floor. Key success factors include increasing safety, reducing equipment downtime, improving throughput and reducing cost
• Perform root cause analysis and provide engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues
• Develop and improve SOPs and/or work instructions
• Mechanical design of machine components, provide CAD drawings for tooling, fixtures and machine parts
• Assist the Maintenance Department with technical guidance and support in parts acquisition
• Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment and parts

Qualifications:

• College degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or other related Engineering discipline
• Min of 2 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical information
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Highly organized, ability to work on multiple projects, managing scope, tasks and timelines
• Minimum of one year experience with SolidWorks CAD software
• Good understanding of GD&T
• Prior experience in mechanical design
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Prior experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
