Material Flow Planning Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Material Flow Planning Specialist for a 18-month contract position in Chattanooga, TN with an automotive manufacturer.
Salary Range: $30.00/hour to $35.00/hour The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Contract: 18 months
ST: 40 hrs. per week
OT: As needed; approx. 5 hrs. per week

Years of Experience:
3-5 years’ job related experience, automotive background preferred
Education:
Preferred: Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or relevant work experience

Role Summary:
Coordinate Material Flow between Supplier and Logistics Pre-series area. Responsible for recording and filing data from the builds and populating KPIs. Coordinating the HOT CALL procedure and facilitate getting the parts to the line. Will also represent the Logistics Launch team during Teams or in person meetings.
Role Responsibilities:
• Coordinate overall material delivery process for production trials and model changes
• Review Logistics concepts for packaging design and project coordination
• Ensure processes meet safety standards, quality standards, environmental, and OSHA
regulations
• Create a continuous improvement environment to develop best in class production system
• Develop systems to meet KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and analyze data to monitor
performance and plan improvements
• Monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity, with improvement activities for pre-series
processes
• Provide direction and assistance to analyze issues, propose countermeasures, and resolve
issues
• Responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and functioning
