🔍 We’re Hiring: Materials Manager | Butte, MT

📍 On-site | Full-time | Mon–Fri | $80K–$100K + Benefits & Relocation Support

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Butte, Montana to find a skilled Materials Manager who thrives on strategy, leadership, and operational excellence.

This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, efficient flow of materials from sourcing to the shop floor. You’ll lead a team overseeing purchasing, inventory, kitting, and vendor management while leveraging ERP systems to streamline processes and drive performance.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production goals
• Manage sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationships across multiple categories
• Oversee receiving, stocking, inventory accuracy, and materials delivery
• Support make-or-buy decisions, demand planning, and cost analysis
• Lead and coach a team of buyers and inventory specialists
• Ensure ERP accuracy and compliance with audit requirements
• Monitor procurement KPIs and mitigate supply chain risks

✅ You Bring:

• 5+ years in procurement, materials management, or supply chain leadership
• Experience sourcing machined components, sheet metal components, and electromechanical components.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and ERP experience
• Proven team leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business , or equivalent experience
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solver
• Clear communicator with a hands-on approach

🎯 Bonus Skills:

• Experience writing RFQs, vendor contracts, and sourcing documents
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, kitting, and just-in-time practices
• History of improving cost control and on-time delivery performance

💰 Compensation & Perks:

• Salary: $80,000 – $100,000/year
