Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Network/Infrastructure Engineer to support a fast-paced, evolving IT environment. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is motivated to solve complex networking challenges. This role centers heavily on Fortinet firewall administration and enterprise networking within an Azure-focused infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and networking policies
• Design and implement subnetting, VLANs, DNS, trace routes, and port forwarding
• Build firewall policies from scratch and resolve access/security issues
• Support Azure tenant setup , cost analysis, and hybrid IT configurations
• Partner on cross-functional IT initiatives (networking, sys admin, cloud)
• Assist with DNS requests, shared drive access, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Document network designs, procedures, and perform security best practice reviews

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (policy creation, troubleshooting, SD-WAN, IPS, etc.)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals : subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching
• Practical Azure experience (tenant setup, cost management, VM deployment)
• Background in systems administration : AD, Intune, O365
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities with ability to drive end-to-end resolutions
• Passion for learning, side projects, and cross-domain problem solving

Nice to Have

• Experience with DNS, DHCP, trace route analysis, Azure cost optimization
• Familiarity with scripting/automation tools (PowerShell preferred)
