What You’ll Do:

Pool attendant typically includes a range of responsibilities related to ensuring the monitoring, cleanliness, and enjoyment of guests using the pool facilities. Here's a general outline:

Guest Assistance :

  • Greeting guests as they arrive at the pool area and providing information about pool hours, amenities, and services.
  • Assisting guests with setting up lounge chairs, umbrellas, or other poolside amenities.
  • Providing towels and other necessities to guests upon request.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

Cleaning and Organization :

  • Ensuring that poolside furniture, umbrellas, and other amenities are arranged neatly and in good condition.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory of pool supplies such as towels, sunscreen, and pool toys.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department.

Teamwork and Communication :

  • Collaborating with other hotel staff members, including maintenance personnel, and front desk staff, to ensure smooth operation of the pool area.
  • Communicating effectively with guests and colleagues to provide a positive experience for all.

Additional Responsibilities :

Pool attendants will also be responsible for additional responsibilities such as assisting with the Food & Beverage operations, organizing poolside activities for guests, or assisting with special events or parties held at the pool.

The hourly rate for this position is $14.50/hr. This position is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials, and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work AM or PM shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
