Professional Search Group OC is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our client’s team in Orange, CA and support the LA/OC business units. The Project Accountant is a full-time position, directly supporting the business unit leader and the project management team.

Project Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage project contracts, bonding, and project insurance, including OCIP and CCIP
• Oversee project monthly and retention billings, ensuring proper documentation such as conditional/unconditional waivers, sub-tier lien waivers, and Union Status Letters
• Update accounts receivable records, monitor AR Aging, and follow up with clients regarding outstanding invoices
• Obtain city business licenses for all active projects
• Provide and maintain accurate monthly project contact lists
• Manage monthly COR logs and change orders
• Submit monthly project invoices and manage project receivables
• Prepare and submit contract-required close-out documents, including Warranty Letters, LEED Documents, and OCIP/CCIP closeouts
• Organize and maintain project management documentation and files
• Process contracts and change orders accurately and efficiently
• Promote safe work habits and ensure adherence to company policies
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned

Project Accountant Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; further administrative experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is required
• Familiarity with Textura and GC Pay Billing software is recommended
• Possession of a California Notary Public License is preferred
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with management, colleagues, and contractors
