Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend & holiday
Duration: 13-week Assignment
Local Candidates (within 50 miles): Up to $1,980 weekly gross
Travel Candidates (outside 50 miles): Up to $2,352 weekly gross
Identify and assess acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction in patients.
Initiate and manage ventilatory support including recommending settings, applying lung-protective strategies, weaning, and troubleshooting ventilators.
Follow approved therapist-driven protocols and departmental policies using best practices.
Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas (ABG) draws, sputum specimen collection, and interpret ABGs.
Conduct bedside spirometry and capnography.
Operate and monitor respiratory equipment and monitors used in various units.
Provide respiratory support during intrahospital and interfacility patient transports.
Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) situations.
Assist with conscious sedation procedures and intubations.
Administer therapeutic gases including oxygen, Heliox, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
Support bronchoscopy procedures in various locations including bronchoscopy suite, operating room, emergency room, ICU, and patient floors.
Deliver respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric populations, utilizing all available treatment modalities.
Assess and manage tracheostomy and laryngectomy tubes.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Valid Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy license.
Current BLS certification .
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire and must be maintained bi-annually.
