Job Title: Retail Associate (Part-Time)

Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-Site)

Schedule: Part-Time, Weekdays & Weekends as Needed

Hourly Rate: $20–$25/hour, based on experience

Position Overview:

The Retail Associate will support day-to-day store operations by assisting customers, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring every visitor feels welcome and valued. This person will thrive in a team environment, bring strong hospitality and customer service experience, and be excited about Hypland’s cultural influence.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with product knowledge, fit, and styling
• Deliver high-level customer service and ensure a welcoming shopping experience
• Maintain store cleanliness, restock inventory, and support merchandising displays
• Process sales transactions and returns using the POS system
• Support in-store events, product launches, and community activations
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and operational tasks
• Communicate customer feedback and in-store insights to management

Required Qualifications:

• Prior retail experience in fashion, streetwear, or a customer-facing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based setting
• Passion for customer experience and hospitality
• Based in Los Angeles and able to work on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge or interest in anime, gaming, or streetwear culture
• Experience working in event-based retail or pop-up environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail operations

Compensation:

• $20–$25/hour depending on experience
• Part-time role with a flexible schedule based on store needs
