Screen Printing Operator needed
The manufacturing company of Tapes, labels, foams, and fabric. We are searching for a Screen Printer to join our manufacturing team
Hours: M-F | 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Rate: Pay commensurate with experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Training provided on all items):
- Responsible for operating Screen Printing equipment and assisting with R&D projects.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Work with supervisor/team leads to manage and prioritize work assignments to ensure schedules are met.
- Tend to silk screening machine, screens and ink viscosity during runs.
- Set up - load framed silk screen onto the machine, adjusts work piece fixture, stops, guides, using hand tools, ruler, and workpiece pattern. Batch mix inks, apply to screen & adjustments.
- Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure the stable operation of the equipment.
- Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to the Production Supervisor.
- Observe the silkscreen and workpiece to detect any defects during the run.
- Machine and area clean up – inks stores, screens cleaned & stored, press & area cleaned
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, DWGs, & procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to work with others collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and basic math skills
- Good vision.
- Knowledge/experience of screen printing – a plus but not required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to use hands talk and hear.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm's length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
