Key Responsibilities

• Lead estimation efforts by reviewing and validating the General Contractor budgets
• Ensure cost estimates are accurate, aligned with milestones, and within budget
• Manage the preconstruction budget and participate in the buy-out process to identify savings
• Build and maintain a database of construction costs across projects
• Cultivate and manage subcontractor relationships for pricing and bid accuracy
• Oversee preconstruction processes across multiple simultaneous projects
• Develop and lead subordinate estimators to foster professional growth and technical excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in construction estimating or project management
• Strong working knowledge of construction practices, processes, and applicable local construction laws
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Timberline, and On Screen Takeoff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management, follow-up, and multi-tasking abilities
• Self-motivated, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and in team environments

Can be based in Baton Rouge or Lafayette, LA
