Survey Party Chief - Richardson, TX

Halff has a current opening for a Survey Party Chief in our Richardson, TX location.

This position entails leading a two- or three-person surveyor field crew to accurately and efficiently perform field surveys in support of land development, transportation, utility, energy, and land surveying projects using conventional, GPS, or terrestrial laser scanning methodology.

Survey Party Chief Requirements:

• 2 plus years of experience as a Party Chief performing topographic surveys, TxDOT, ALTA and boundary surveys, or construction staking.
• Hands-on experience with Trimble GPS and/or Conventional equipment, preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
• Must possess physical capabilities to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Possess a meticulous attention to detail and keen eye to promote and ensure accuracy. There is minimal room for error in this position.
• Exceptional capacity to grasp new learning material.
• Strong willingness to comply with specific instructions that may be provided in different methods of communication.
• Proficient in modern means of communication and effective use of smart portable devices.
• High level of dependability, discipline, and responsibility to be a positive representative for Halff and remain punctual on a consistent basis.
• Ability to offer flexibility for earlier than normal work arrival, starting 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
• Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines.
• Travel generally up to two weeks at a time may be required for position, up to 50%.
