SRM Recruitment have been retained by a reputable, US headquartered Insurance Group who are growing their transactional risk business in the US. As part of a strategic growth plan they are now looking to recruit an experienced Tax Insurance Underwriter or qualified M&A tax specialist from an advisory firm.

Responsibilities:

• Handling the entire underwriting process (with specific focus on the US), starting with confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms and preparing underwriting requests.
• Issue of policy documents
• Establishment and development of international broker and customer relationships
• Building relationships with law firms in different jurisdictions

Requirements:

• Ideally, a degree in law / commercial law / business administration or in another relevant M&A environment, e.g. Corporate finance in the Big 4 or Banking
• Several years experience underwriting Tax Liability Insurance or advising on private equity M&A and / or renewable energy tax credits from a consultancy environment.
• Your strengths include strong customer orientation, decision-making power and a high degree of persuasiveness, as well as high motivation and resilience
• You have already been able to demonstrate your strong team skills, your high sense of responsibility and your adaptability when dealing with a wide range of technical issues
