CMMS Coordinator

Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 per year

Location: North Jackson, OH

Schedule: Full-time, On-site

Position Overview

Are you a detail-oriented engineer who thrives on improving systems and driving maintenance excellence?

A leading specialty metals manufacturer is seeking a CMMS Coordinator to manage its Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS – IBM Maximo) and support the launch of a company-wide Reliability Program.

In this role, you’ll oversee preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling, maintain data accuracy, and ensure compliance with maintenance standards and regulatory guidelines. Working closely with the Preventive Maintenance Engineer, this position is instrumental in advancing equipment reliability and operational efficiency at one of the company’s most advanced manufacturing facilities.

About the Facility:

This operation is a state-of-the-art specialty steel production facility , manufacturing nickel alloy, stainless steel, and low-alloy grades through advanced melting and remelting technologies such as Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) , Electro-Slag Remelting (ESR) , and Vacuum-Arc Remelting (VAR) .

The site also houses a bar finishing shop with an SMX 650 Radial Forge , a thermal processing line, non-destructive testing capabilities, and an accredited Nadcap laboratory.

This facility produces high-performance materials for aerospace, power generation, oil & gas, and other precision-driven industries—playing a key role in maintaining the company’s global reputation for quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field required.
• 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Technical writing skills to document and standardize maintenance processes.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the CMMS (IBM Maximo) under the direction of the Preventive Maintenance Engineer.
• Coordinate the entry and scheduling of new preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) tasks.
• Review actual versus planned labor hours on completed work orders and identify process improvements.
• Monitor PM and CM completion rates and communicate progress to leadership.
• Maintain the integrity of the PM program, including checklists, triggers, frequencies, and compliance tracking.
• Analyze work orders for completeness, accuracy, and follow-up actions.
• Track and report maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure department performance.
• Support special reliability projects under corporate engineering guidance.
• Develop and update guidance documents to ensure consistent and efficient CMMS use.
• Travel occasionally to other company sites to benchmark best practices and share system improvements.
