The Job Details:

This internship will run from May 2025 to August 2025 and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. USCS is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support our Human Resources Department with day-to-day activities. This opportunity will give the intern valuable, real-world HR experience in the areas of maintaining and organizing employee records, employment law, employee relations, labor relations, talent acquisition (TA), training, and benefits. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be asked to complete the tasks below daily, other tasks may be given by the employees’ supervisor.

  • Maintain and organize employee files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Scan and upload personnel records to the UKG Document Manager.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the document filing process.
  • Help prepare records for internal audits and compliance reviews.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in HR planning meetings, help test and refine HR Metrics.
  • Assists with miscellaneous special projects as needed such as compensation, benefits, and/or employee relation issues.
  • Prepares general correspondence and spreadsheets in support of human resources activities.
  • Works in teams with the entire HR department to solve problems and complete projects as required and assigned.
  • Develop formal presentation (Power Point) of summer experience and present at HR Managers meeting at the end of the program.
  • Perform other HR administrative tasks as assigned.
