Are you a passionate leader who loves motivating teams, hitting goals, and discovering top talent? Ready to roll up your sleeves and help Essel expand its reach? We’re looking for a go-getter Recruiting Manager to join our team in Fairfield, CA.

Responsible for:

  • Directly oversee a team of recruiters. You’ll provide the support, direction, and mentorship they need to consistently perform at a high level.
  • While managing the team, you’ll also maintain an active req load—personally sourcing, screening, and placing candidates to meet client needs and demonstrate best practices in real time.
  • Mentor and guide our recruiters with regular 1:1s, holding everyone (including yourself) accountable to KPI metrics and performance targets.
  • Develop clear goals and trackable metrics for the team - then celebrate the wins and quickly pivot when needed!
  • Play a key role in growing our staffing business by refining processes, pursuing new sourcing strategies, and driving client satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and potentially with the hiring managers to understand their needs, build talent pipelines, and foster strong relationships.
  • Work on requisitions that may require an out of state candidate pool
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage your expertise to ensure our recruiting strategies remain competitive and effective.
  • Recruit on perm placement, contract to hire, and temp roles
  • Report directly to the CSO overseeing the entire operation
  • Heavy experience in managing a team remotely

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience within the staffing industry, with at least 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports in-office and remotely
  • Experience managing a team of at least 5 recruiters
  • Experience recruiting in (Construction) AEC, skilled trades, and/or environmental staffing is a huge plus
  • Experienced in implementing recruiting strategies to saturate a new market
  • Ability to manage a team meanwhile maintaining high recruitment efforts
  • Ability to work in office - once 90 day probation has been achieved a hybrid schedule can be implemented in Fairfield, CA office
  • Proficiency with gross margin and KPI tracking
  • Proficient in presenting weekly reports to leadership related to team activity and effectiveness
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and ATS systems
  • Proficiency with defining metrics and holding a recruiting team accountable to achieving them
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
