HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Development background and experience with virtual machines, Linux domains, system integration, databases, network infrastructures, serverless technologies, Cloud including AWS services, Java, Docker containers, security controls and maintenance to support system solutions
  • Serve on a development engineering team that designs, builds, develops, and deploys enterprise and platform infrastructure and applications for cloud and hybrid systems
  • Support the customer and development team as a technical software developer through all aspects of the agile development cycle to include team representation and demonstrations to customer and new user groups, requirements grooming, working groups, assisting project manager, scrum master and technical team with themes for epics and related user stories, and ensuring execution
  • Develop software while driving DevOps principles including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment, and automated testing
  • Maintain software practices, etc. helping to develop new standards, policies and procedures
  • Works within a team environment using Confluence & Jira to manage and collaborate on work tasks
  • Builds and operates scalable and secure systems on AWS
  • Supports database engineering by providing Python support using AWS Lambda
  • May coach and review work of less experienced professionals
  • Work collaboratively towards successful critical milestone deliveries and to solve new application requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science preferred), or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Experience : 8+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated engineering experience across all phases of the development cycle including architecture, design, development (Java, Python, Javascript, etc.), integration, test, security and deployment.
  • Experienced engineering support for implementation and management of Amazon Web Services for all AWS/C2S environments to include experience using services such as VPC, EC2, ECS and S3.
  • Demonstrated experience showing current knowledge of progressive IT software development approaches which encompass AGILE and DevOps.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills and must be capable of explaining procedures in writing and verbally to both customers and development team.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
