Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer II with at least five years of experience in the Federal contracting space, particularly in writing proposals related to DevSecOps, software development, systems engineering, and other IT sector government solicitations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT concepts and terminology, allowing them to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage technical responses to Sources Sought, Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and other government regulations.
- Gather technical information via interviews, research, and legacy document reviews, effectively translating complex IT concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers, software developers, cybersecurity specialists, and systems engineers to craft clear, persuasive documentation that aligns with government requirements.
- Write and edit white papers, technical reports, user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance documentation for Federal IT programs.
- Maintain and update capability statements, one-pagers, and other corporate marketing materials that communicate company expertise in IT services.
- Creating slick sheets of Sapient Logic's capabilities, services, and products.
- Ensure all written materials align with security best practices, IT compliance standards, and technical accuracy.
- Support business development teams by developing compelling, well-structured proposal content tailored to specific government solicitations.
- Analyze Statements of Work (SOWs) and Performance Work Statements (PWSs) to create compliance matrices and ensure alignment with technical and contractual requirements.
- Research emerging IT technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and advanced analytics, integrating relevant insights into proposals and documentation.
- Edit and proofread technical content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with Federal guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in Federal contracting, IT services, or government proposal development.
- Experience writing for DevSecOps, software development, cloud architecture, and systems engineering projects.
- Familiarity with Federal procurement processes, including FAR/DFARS regulations and government proposal requirements.
- Strong understanding of IT concepts, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and software development methodologies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, technical accuracy, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex IT concepts and translate them into digestible content for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using proposal management tools (e.g., GovWin, SAM.gov, Shipley proposal methodology) is a plus.
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
